About SPORK
Fresh Perspectives in Science Communication with SPORK
JGU is excited to introduce SPORK (Student Perspectives on Research and Knowledge), an Open Access online journal that provides students with a platform to actively engage in science communication and gain initial experience in Open Access publishing. SPORK offers an accessible way to present findings from seminar and final theses to a broader audience. A variety of formats can be chosen: in addition to text, multimedia elements such as video abstracts, audio data, or interactive data visualizations can also be published. Thematic issues will compile content from diverse academic cultures.
Submissions are made through recommendations by supervisors. Additionally, lecturers can, in consultation with the journal, create thematic special issues as part of their seminars.
